A cute new game hit the Android Market yesterday. It’s called Whale Trail, and if my hippie mom had a mobile phone back in the 60 and 70’s, she would have been all over this. Take a trip through rainbow land with Willow the whale, and fly through the 7 kingdoms of colour as he tries to escape the clutches of the evil Baron Von Barry and the Thunder Bros. When we told you Gameloft would be kicking off the new year by discounting all of its Android Market titles to $0.99, many headed straight to the Android Market to download Modern Combat 3. To their dismay, MC3 was still full price. That’s because Gameloft planned on having MC3 on sale for one day only, and they planned on keeping us on edge as to when it would go on sale. Well, today’s the day. You’re going to want to hurry fast because this offer only stands for today, and grabbing a console quality game such as MC3 for only $0.99 is like Christmas all over again.


Sega has announced its next installment of the popular side-scrolling classic Sonic the Hedgehog. After receiving award-winning success with Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episode I, Sega has listened to user feedback and is proud to announce episode II. Episode II features all-new character animations, a reworked physics engine, expansive storyline, and a familiar furry sidekick. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episode II is set to hit the Android Market sometime in 2012 and will feature support for mobile devices powered by the NVIDIA Tegra mobile processor, including an enhanced version for Tegra 3 devices.


Gameloft will be kicking off their New Year’s game promotion December 29, and will be offering all of their games from the Android Market for $0.99. Gameloft is well known for their console quality games and currently has 32 games in the Android Market. The promotion will run for one week and features hit titles such as Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD, 9mm HD, NFL Pro 2012, and more. Most will remain $0.99 throughout the promotional period with the exception of Modern Combat 3, which will be discounted for one day only.


With Christmas only two days away, nothing is more exciting for a child than the newer aged tradition of tracking his whereabouts on Christmas Eve. A program that started back in the mid 1950’s has evolved into more than just calling in to get Santa’s location. We can now track his real-time progress via sophisticated Santa tracking instruments developed by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). The media on which we’ve been tracking Santa has evolved throughout the years and now that the mobile age is upon us, it only makes sense to have an official app.
