A brand-new subscription news site called The Information published a story this week saying Google would launch a product within the next seven months called Nexus TV.

I believe and hope the story is true. Because I’m rooting for Google in the TV space. Here’s why.

HTC finally rolled out the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean release to the HTC One over the weekend, but it appears the Taiwanese company has also been hard at work on Android 4.3. An HTC One Google Edition with Android 4.3 installed has just passed by the Bluetooth SIG.

Jelly Bean latest Galaxy S4 Photoshopped

An Android 4.3 Jelly Bean ROM was leaked earlier this week and much to our surprise it wasn’t for a Nexus device. The leaked ROM was for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition, and was subsequently ported over to the standard GT-I9505 Galaxy S4.

There are very little user-facing changes in this build, however, since we don’t know how long it will be until the final build is released, we could very well see some more changes in the official Android 4.3 build when it comes out. Here’s what’s changed so far.

Mobile phone retailers in the United Kingdom have begun removing the Google Nexus 4 from their inventories, sparking speculation that a successor could be on its way. Both Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U have ceased selling the handset this week, just days before Google I/O 2013 gets underway.
