At CES in Las Vegas, ZTE has today unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Grand S II. It packs high-end specifications, including a 5.5-inch 1080p display and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor — as well as new voice recognition software that allows multiple users to unlock the device using only their voice.

Alcatel One Touch has today announced a trio of affordable Android-powered devices; one smartphone and two ultra-portable tablets. The Idol X+ is the company’s latest mid-range smartphone, with a design not dissimilar to previous Idol devices. Whilst both the Pop 7 and Pop 8 tablets are aimed at the lower end of the market.

They come with Android-powered tablets built-in, allowing you to play music and watch movies using all your favorite apps without the need for a second device.

Qualcomm is celebrating this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas by knocking $50 off its Android-comptible Toq smartwatch. For this week only, the device will sell for $299.99 as opposed to $349.99, and you can buy it directly from Qualcomm or through Amazon.

CoA-CES-2014-bugQualcomm announced its latest Snapdragon processor at CES in Las Vegas today, but it isn’t quite the company’s answer to NVIDIA’s new Tegra K1 chip. Instead, the Snapdragon 802 processor is aimed at televisions and set-top boxes rather that smartphones and tablets, and it’s focused on powered Ultra HD 4K content.
