Snapchat has today issued a new update for Android and iOS that allows users to opt out of linking their phone number with their username. The move comes after 4.6 million phone numbers were leaked on New Year’s Day following “abuse” of the Snapchat API — which Snapchat has apologized for in a new blog post.

Nokia-Normandy-Android-UI

We already know that Nokia’s been working on an Android-powered smartphone called Normandy that may never see the light of day thanks to the Finnish firm’s close relationship with Microsoft. And that’s an even more disappointing thought when you see its custom Android user interface in these leaked screenshots.

It looks like nothing we’ve seen before on Android, and I don’t know about you, but I like it.

The latest Gmail update for Android, that was first announced by Google back in mid-December, is finally rolling out via Google Play. In addition to Out of Office auto-reply, the update adds support for sending any file type, and the ability to print documents wirelessly.
