Earlier this year, Google released its own anti-theft tracking service for Android devices dubbed Android Device Manager (ADM). While the service does what its meant to, it does not take true advantage of Android openness.

Long before ADM was even available though, Cerberus has been my anti-theft client of choice, largely because of its ability to work over SMSes and the other advanced features it offers. Today, the developer has made new account registrations for the service free, in order to celebrate its third launch anniversary, making it a good time to grab the app.

Fenix

I discovered an awesome new Twitter client when I was browsing Google Play earlier this week, and after using it for the past four days, I’m encouraging everyone I know with an Android device to go get it.

It’s called Fenix, and it’s the best third-party Twitter client you’ll find — for many reasons. Not only does it look good, but it’s easy to use, customizable, and feature-packed. Here’s why you should download it today.

I can’t tell you how much of my life has been wasted staring at boot up screens. I’m sure most smartphone owners are in the same boat. But those who upgrade to the new OnePlus One will hardly ever have to endure that painful wait again.

The $299 flagship has an insanely speedy boot-up time. In fact, in a simple speed test against the Nexus 5, the One booted up, powered down, and booted back up again in the time it took Google’s device to get to the home screen.

Motorola took everyone by surprise last year by releasing the Moto X and the Moto G, both of which ran near-stock Android. For the first time in Android history, an OEM actually decided to make meaningful additions to the Android skin instead of adding its own skin on top to “differentiate” its product from the competition.

However, after Lenovo purchased Motorola earlier this year, most people started wondering if Motorola again release a handset running near-stock Android.
