Although we’ve yet to see a truly mass-market wearable device sweep the world, most people working in high tech believe that devices like smartwatches represent the next big frontier.

With that in mind, Samsung has debuted a potentially transformative creation at the ongoing InterBattery 2014 exhibition being held in Seoul, Korea: a rollable, flexible battery.

Although not too many details are known yet about the exact materials and structural design advances used to create it, it is reported that the battery can function even when bent in half, or rolled up into the shape of a paper cup.

Still waiting for Google’s latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on your Galaxy smartphone? A leaked Samsung roadmap details the South Korean company’s release plans for 13 different handsets, including the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy Note 3, and the Galaxy Note 2.

Motorola may have chosen to bow out of the tablet market for the time being, but new owner Lenovo won’t let it rest for too long. The Chinese company reportedly has plans to launch new Android-powered slates under the Motorola brand in an effort to tackle competitors like Apple and Samsung in key markets.

Google will announce its new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 devices tomorrow, Forbes reports, and they will be the first to run its new Android L operating system. The search giant has decided against a “big reveal,” one source claims, instead opting to make the devices official in a blog post.

We’ve seen a number of Nexus 6 mockups so far, and even some blurry shots of the device out in the wild, but none of them do the device’s gorgeous new design justice like its first leaked press render does.
