As promised, ASUS has begun rolling out Android 4.0 to Transformer owners in the US. It’s also been reported to be rolling out to Canadian users as well. As for the rest of the world, just be patient as ASUS is doing a superb job at delivering Ice Cream Sandwich to its users and you’re sure to be next. So go grab the update and start enjoying the latest and greatest Android OS.

The Glu Mobile team will be on hand at this year’s Mobile World Congress to show off the latest Android Beam support for their hit freemium game Gun Bros Multiplayer. Thanks to Near Field Communication technology, users who have Gun Bros installed on their Android 4.0 device will be able to quickly initiate a multiplayer session by simply placing their devices back to back and tapping “Touch To Beam.” It can also be used to send a user directly to the Android Market to download the game if they don’t have it yet.

This move won’t take place until the acquisition is complete of course, but it shouldn’t be long as it has already received approval from the Europan Commission and the United States Department of Justice. There’s no word on whether or not Sanjay would still play a role in Motorola Mobility or if he would be out completely but I’m sure he’ll be well compensated either way.

ASUS has remained vigilant in their quest for getting out the latest updates to its customers. Today they began rolling out the first wave of Android 4.0 to the original ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. The first market to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich treatment is Taiwan followed by the U.S. market tomorrow. This is great news for all you Transformer owners and it’s one more reason why I rate ASUS as one of the top OEM’s for Android devices.
