CyanogenMod users can now enjoy a taste of Android L thanks to a stunning third-party theme pack that delivers new icons and overhauls the notification drawer, quick settings panel, Settings menu, and other built-in apps. It also brings new notifications sounds and more simplistic status bar icons.

LG today announced the largest entry in its G Pad tablet family, the G Pad 10.1. Bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better, however. The device, which promises to be ideal for on-the-go media consumption, has relatively disappointing internal specifications — but is aiming to be more affordable.

On Sunday, South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission on Sunday ordered both Google and Apple to make changes to their Android and iOS app store policies, to make after-purchase refunding more friendly to consumers.

Under the new terms, Google will need to establish a refund system based on developers’ individual policies, while Apple must send out notifications to App Store users every time the company updates its contract terms and conditions.

Fenix, Android’s best third-party Twitter client, has been removed from Google Play after Twitter began blocking tweets uploaded from the app over the weekend. Developer Matteo Villa promises to republish Fenix as soon as the problem is resolved, but it’s currently unclear why Twitter has an issue with his app.

A third-party developer has extracted the keyboard APK from an official Android L preview build and made it available to download from Google Play. It’s free, has no ads, and does not require root. Having used it a lot over the past few days, I can confirm it’s surprisingly stable.
