Auto Backup for Apps is baked into Android M. Photo: Google.

As an Android user who’s always switching devices, one of my biggest complaints is the lack of a built-in app backup feature. Lollipop and previous versions of Android don’t carry any of your app data over to your new device, so you have to start from scratch.

Fortunately, that’s going to change this fall when Google rolls out Android M, which has a new Auto Backup for Apps feature. The search giant explains it all in the video below.

Samsung has announced it will “adjust” its pricing for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge in an effort to boost sales after confirming another disappointing quarter.

The South Korean company’s new profit fell 8 percent to 5.75 trillion won ($4.93 billion) year-on-year during Q2 2015, while sales fell 7 percent to 48.5 trillion won ($41.7 billion).

The new OnePlus 2 is the first Android-powered smartphone to adopt USB-C technology, which means all those micro-USB cables you have stuffed in a drawer somewhere aren’t going to work with it.

You’ll get a USB-C cable with your OnePlus 2, of course, and OnePlus says you’ll be able to buy more separately for “about $5.”
