Google’s newly updated Nexus 7 isn’t supposed to officially launch until July 30th but if you’re starving to get it now you can pick it up from a couple of retailers early.

Best Buy confirmed this morning that the Nexus 7 is available at all Best Buy stores now. Amazon has also started taking orders for the device on its website and is even offering same day delivery for it in some areas. Walmart appears to have received its initial stock as well.

T-Mobile’s new summer smartphone promotion is a scorcher: The carrier has eliminated down payments entirely and dropped the price of all devices to $0. Even the latest handsets like the iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Sony Xperia Z are included in the hot new deal, which the company announced today.

But there is a catch.

It’s been a long time coming, but the waterproof, shockproof, modular LifeProof phone cases has evolved from their iDevice origins and now protect their first Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Two models of the LifeProof case have arrived for the Galaxy S3 this week: The Fre, the original case from LifeProof; and the Nuud, which is similar to the Fre but is free of a screen protector and allows unobstructed access to the S3’s screen. LifeProof says these cases are the thinnest and lightest fully protective cases yet made for the S3.

Less than 48 hours after Chromecast was announced and just over two hours since we published a post on how Google’s senior vice president, Sundar Pichai, believes that Google TV will evolve alongside Chromecast, a rumor has emerged claiming that Google is designing yet another TV entertainment device.

It is reported that Google has been secretly working on a new set-top box (STB), and speculation indicates that the new device will be much like the Roku and Apple TV, its been documented that Google’s new unit will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and will feature a ton of goodies which no other STB’s on the market offer at this time.

Earlier today, we told you about MoDaCo.SWITCH, a terrific new tool for the HTC One that allows you to install both Sense and stock Android and switch between then at the touch of a button. At the moment, it’s only available on one device, but MoDaCo has plans to bring it to the Galaxy S4 (i9505) in the near future.
