Last year’s Android Booth at Mobile World Congress was quite the spectacle. They had a two-story slide, OS flavored smoothies, and a ton of Android related tech and swag. We can’t wait to see what Google has in store for us this year as they’ve been teasing us with a countdown to the unveiling over at Android site. With only a couple days left, we’re going to take a look at what we can expect to see from various manufacturers and what to be on the lookout for. It should be an exciting event full of amazing devices and even sweeter Android treats.


Mobile World Congress is quite an exhausting event and going booth to booth will surely have you burning some serious calories. That’s why Motorola is planning to be on hand with a few athletes to show off their fitness tracker the MOTOACTV. Along with demos, Motorola will be giving away 10 MOTOACTV devices in a “guess how many jellbeans” twitter contest.


The Dropbox beta build from earlier in the month is out of testing and now available in the Android Market. You’ll now have the ability to automatically upload your photos and videos to your Dropbox account should you want to. Other features include:


Acer has been doing a great job at keeping their Android tablets up-to-date with Android 4.0 but we haven’t heard much from them in the phone department. There may be a reason as they don’t seem to have anything major up their sleeves. However, they have announced a new Liquid Glow budget smartphone that they will be displaying at this year’s Mobile World Congress. The Liquid Glow will come in an array of colors including: Sakura Pink, Alpine White, and Cat’s-eye Black. Other specs are scarce but we know it will come with Android 4.0, NFC, and a 5MP rear camera with LED flash.

As promised, ASUS has begun rolling out Android 4.0 to Transformer owners in the US. It’s also been reported to be rolling out to Canadian users as well. As for the rest of the world, just be patient as ASUS is doing a superb job at delivering Ice Cream Sandwich to its users and you’re sure to be next. So go grab the update and start enjoying the latest and greatest Android OS.
