Google-Now

This is one Google Now bug that Google won’t be too happy about: a glitch that causes the service to randomly “praise the iPad” when a user performs certain voice searches. Google Now reads out its response, but adds “he now praises the iPad” to the end of it. Check out the video below.

This old video, bubbled up via Reddit, is a perfect look back at the all-manual past of photography as we head into yet another amazing year of easy iPhoneography.

It shows the most common method for focussing SLR cameras, using a split screen and microprism etched into the focussing screen that lays horizontally at the bottom of the camera’s pentaprism (the top-mounted turret that houses the viewfinder assembly).

Hisense Pulse is a new set-top box powered by Google TV that was first announced at IFA back in August. Its $100 price tag makes it one of the most affordable ways to introduce Google TV to your living room, and it comes with some nice features. If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on one, you can place your order now through Amazon. But you’ll have to be quick if you want it before Christmas.

The BBC has issued an update to its iPlayer app for Android, introducing a number of new features that include improved video performance over W-Fi, and support for smartphones and tablet running the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software. It has also vowed to continue improving the app for Android users, though it notes that the process will take some time.
