Christmas is over, the gifts are opened, and now many of you out there are holding brand spanking new Android devices. Android continues to grow tremendously and boasts over 700,000 device activations every day, and so we ask: “Did you get an Android device for Christmas?” Whether is was that Samsung Galaxy Nexus you asked for, or the quad-core ASUS Transformer Prime that has been appearing and disappearing, we want to hear about it. We’re here to help, and we love hearing your opinions and feedback.

We’ve got some good news for any HTC EVO View 4G owners out there. An official Honeycomb update is out and ready to be pushed. The update finally brings Android’s official tablet software to the EVO view 4G and also breathes a breath of life into this aging (in mobile years) device. Users will have to be aware that due to Honeycomb being an entirely different beast, updating will result in complete loss of current homescreen settings, along with possible loss of app support. Today they have announced their plans to launch the first ever Honeycomb tablet for under $200. The majority of sub $200 tablets have been running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and even though Ice Cream Sandwich is right around the corner, having a Honeycomb tablet that costs less than $200 might just attract some post holiday interest. Let’s take a look at what we know so far about the ARCHOS 70b and what it plans to bring to the table.

One of the most highly anticipated Android tablets of the year, the ASUS Transformer Prime, went up for pre-order on Amazon last month. Amazon quickly sold out and soon began canceling some customers’ orders. Eventually the ASUS Transformer Prime completely disappeared from Amazon’s site never to be seen or heard of again — that is, until today. Amazon has reopened pre-orders for all four variants of the ASUS Transformer Prime and to make amends with customers who were left in the dark, they are also offering 1-day free shipping along with a $10 credit (only some customers are reporting the credit).
