Motorola

Just yesterday, I reported that Motorola had finally posted the official update documents on its website for an upcoming update for the Sprint-branded variant of its flagship smartphone, the Moto X, and already tons of reports have been flying in confirming that residents in the U.S. have now started receiving the much-anticipated upgrade. In addition to the latest build of 4.4 KitKat, the update also brings a truckload of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations for the handset, as well as the implementation of a couple of new features.

Earlier today, Motorola posted the official update documents for an upcoming OTA upgrade for Sprint’s carrier-branded variant of its flagship smartphone of 2013, the Moto X. The paperwork reveals that the handset is set to receive the much-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat update, in addition to a multitude of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.

Sprint today rolled out its new Wi-Fi calling feature to subscribers nationwide, allowing them to send texts and make calls over a Wi-Fi network. But before you get too excited, know that it’s initially only available on Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Mega handsets.

LG has officially announced that its first curved self-healing smartphone, the G Flex, will be available to purchase from Rogers’ on-line shop or in any of bricks-and-mortar stores located in Canada starting this Spring. The press release also includes a statement from the operator notifying potential customers that the handset will deliver its exclusive ‘full-speed LTE connection’ – which utilizes both the 2100 and 2600MHz spectrum for data speeds of up to 150mbps.

Sprint has begun rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The 503.6MB release is being distributed over-the-air with build number “N900PVPUCNAB,” and it brings a number of nice TouchWiz improvements.
