While many companies are touting their newest Android devices, Sony has not only released new devices, but has some pretty cool accessories to go along with them. These aren’t your average run of the mill Android accessories either, they’re “Smart Extras” for Android. Sony announced three new “Smart Extras” and one in particular has me dreaming up endless possibilities. Let’s take a look at what Sony has presented us with and see just how “Smart” they are.


Gone are the days of the Sony Ericsson Nozomi, say hello to the Sony Xperia S. We’ve waited a long time for Sony to pull the curtain on the Sony Ericsson Nozomi and now that they have, we’re left with a one letter moniker, less intrigue, and a device very similar to the Xperia Ion. Today at CES, AT&T just kept announcing device after device, from its seemingly bottomless treasure trove of Android booty. Instead of spamming you with post after post of AT&T Android devices, I’ll just put them all in this post here. We’ll take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note, Exhilirate, and Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD. We’ll show you Sony’s first LTE device the Xperia Ion, and a couple of Pantech devices. Sony is trying to muster up some much needed attention for their first born Android tablet by dropping its price by $100. If you were considering a Sony Tablet S but held back because of price, now may be a good time to take the plunge. Both the 16GB and 32GB version have been discounted to $399.99 and $499.99 respectively. While it’s still a tough sell at this time — with both CES around the corner and the quad-core ASUS Transformer Prime in the market — it’s an option to think about.
