Honami-camera-app

Sony’s working on a new flagship smartphone codenamed the “Honami,” and although the Japanese company has managed to keep the handset itself under wraps, it hasn’t been able to stop its software from leaking into the wild.

There has been some speculation as to when Sony is planning to announce the rumored Honami device, and it appears that we could be seeing the unveiling at its July 4th event being held in Paris. A company executive has acknowledged that the iPhone is an “attractive” device, but points out that it also comes with some disadvantages, and insists that the latest Android-powered offerings are just as good.

The update’s rollout has just begun in Spain and the Ukraine, and it’s hitting LTE versions of the Xperia Z with the “C6603” model number first.
