French carrier SFR has posted the approved update documents for an upcoming OTA upgrade for its carrier-branded variant of Sony’s ultra-affordable low-end smartphone the Xperia M which was released back in June 2013. The paperwork reveals that the handset is set to receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, in addition to a multitude of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.

Two weeks ago, a well-known and trusted leaker announced on his social networking sites that Sony’s latest mid-range phablet, the Xperia T2 Ultra, is set to launch on T-Mobile in the United States later this year, and earlier today an FCC filing has been brought to our attention, confirming that the forthcoming handset is, indeed, compatible with T-Mobile’s LTE bands in the U.S.

Sony Xperia Z2

Sony has officially begun the global rollout of the Xperia Z2 smartphone starting with Taiwan, which is one of the few countries to be included in Sony’s initial wave of launch. Other countries of Asia as well as Europe are expected to get the handset in mid-April as originally scheduled.
