Google Now is by far one of the coolest features introduced in Android 4.1, and it just got better. A recent update to the Google Search app for Android 4.1+ brings a few new cards and voice actions to an already fabulous app. Holiday travelers and Google+ users will especially appreciate it.

With all the junk floating out there at the Apple App Store and Google Play (Android users, you get the nastier end of the shaft in this case), it’s no wonder good apps can often go undiscovered and neglected, withering pitifully under a heap of flashy debris.

One way to find diamond-in-the-rough apps — or apps that actually do what you want them to — is to regularly read blogs like either of the Cult twins. But there’s another way, and it involves using an app discovery tool like Hubbl.

It’s the music streaming service that allows you to create personal radio stations filled with the music you love. Ever hear of Pandora One? It appears Apple’s arrogance is getting in the way of protecting its users from a long standing SMS exploit that could allow potential hackers to spoof a reply-to number, causing the recipient to think he/she is replying to a legitimate contact, when in reality, their information is being sent to the hackers designated address. As you can imagine, this is quite troublesome, yet Apple has brushed it away despite numerous pleas made by a well known iOS hacker (pod2g):
