HTC-stand-MWC-2014

HTC today reported its unaudited financial figures for February, and they don’t make for pleasant reading for fans of the Taiwanese company. Revenue continued to tank, dropping a massive 36.45 percent from the same period last year to NT$7.22 billion ($238.4 million).

HTC-Watch

HTC Watch, the movie store that comes pre-installed on HTC devices, will close in the United Kingdom on March 31. HTC confirmed the news in an email to users this week, and the company encourages them to download movies to their devices if they wish to keep them.

HTC-M8-One-Plus

HTC is known for their miserable product names that makes it impossible for the average joe to make sense of. With the HTC One, the company kicked off the ‘One’ series in a hope to simplify and streamline its product line-up.

With the release of the next-gen One (M8) coming up, rumours have been floating around as to what HTC would be naming it — the One 2, One^2 or the One+.

Do-Launcher-Sense-5-Nexus

While most of us would prefer a stock Android experience given the choice, HTC’s Sense user interface has gotten really good in recent years. Not only does it look great, but features like BlinkFeed actually make it really useful. Unfortunately, it’s only available on HTC’s own devices… at least officially.

Do Launcher aims to provide the Sense 5 experience on other Android-powered smartphones. It has Sense 5 icons and animations, its own BlinkFeed alternative with support for custom RSS feeds, and more.

HTC-One-Plus-M8-buttons

A leaked screenshot taken from the upcoming HTC One Plus (M8) confirms reports that the device will sport virtual navigation buttons. Its predecessor, the One, and most of the HTC smartphones that came before it, had capacitive touch buttons beneath the display — but the company’s next flagship is set to be the first to buck that trend.
