T-Mobile seems to be the last to make any sort of announcement regarding future plans and devices. After looking at the press release, I can see why. Not much going on over at T-Mo other than an expanded 4G network, an enhanced Bobsled messaging service, and another Samsung Galaxy variant. But hey, let’s not hang them out to dry, stay tuned for a few of the specifics after the break.
Although Gingerbread has been available for over a year now, the Samsung Captivate hasn’t seen the update until today (who says Samsung doesn’t update their devices). That’s right, while most people are wondering when Ice Cream Sandwich is going to be ready for their device, there are still some people out there just hoping for Gingerbread. Not an optimal update schedule for most, but I guess it’s better late than never, right?
Today at CES, AT&T just kept announcing device after device, from its seemingly bottomless treasure trove of Android booty. Instead of spamming you with post after post of AT&T Android devices, I’ll just put them all in this post here. We’ll take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note, Exhilirate, and Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD. We’ll show you Sony’s first LTE device the Xperia Ion, and a couple of Pantech devices. They’re all running Android, and they’re all on AT&T, so stay tuned after the break for what each device has to offer.
Sprint has announced the first of many LTE smartphone offerings to compliment their new 4G LTE network. The first to make its debut, is none other than the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. We can’t say we didn’t see this one coming, especially after its accidental leak in an online ad. They didn’t release a full on spec list of the Sprint Galaxy Nexus but it does appear to be a smaller 16GB model and will include Google Wallet (something Verizon felt the need to leave out). Along with the Galaxy Nexus tease comes the announcement of another LTE smartphone for Sprint, the LG Viper.

This week’s topic is one personal to both iOS and Android fans alike: is Samsung really copying Apple’s designs for its Galaxy series of Android smartphones and tablets? Samsung and Apple are brawling it out on pretty much every continent on Earth trying to get to the bottom of this issue, so it’s only fitting that we try to settle this one in the ring too.
In one corner, we have the 900 pound gorilla, Cult of Mac; in the opposite corner, wearing the green trunks, we have the plucky upstart, Cult of Android!
