Tonight at Radio City Music Hall in New York, Samsung unveiled the latest version of its flagship Android phone, the Galaxy S4, the successor to Samsung’s super popular Galaxy SIII. The first thing you may notice is how similar the new S4 looks to the SIII. It’s nearly the same size, even wiht a bigger 5-inch, 1080p Super AMOLED screen: the first such in a mobile phone.

As we get closer to Samsung’s long-awaited Galaxy S IV event in Times Square later today, the rumor mill is working overtime. According to a source for The Wall Street Journal, Samsung’s new handset will come with SwiftKey Prediction Software built-in.

For many years, AMOLED displays have been favored by Samsung, but it appears this could soon be about to change. According to industry insiders, the Korean company will use an LCD Display in the upcoming Galaxy Note III to provide an improved S Pen experience.

LG has attempted to overshadow Samsung’s massive Galaxy S IV billboards in Times Square by erecting a few of its own — directly above them. LG’s are bigger, brighter, and higher up, and they mock Samsung’s use of the number 4 in its “be ready 4 the next Galaxy” slogan.
