What a Microsoft smartwatch might look like.

Microsoft is designing a new smartwatch that could allow it to compete with upcoming devices from the likes of Apple, Google, and Samsung, The Wall Street Journal reports. The company has already asked suppliers in Asia to ship components for the device, which will reportedly boast a “touch-enabled” display.

Samsung has today announced the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3, two super-sized smartphones that make the Galaxy Note II look rather small. Both devices look similar to the new Galaxy S4, but their internal specifications are nowhere near as impressive.

The Galaxy Megas are more entry-level to midrange devices, with dual-core processors, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8-megapixel cameras. They do run the latest Android 4.2 operating system, however, and they have built-in infrared blasters that’ll let you control your television and other devices.

Samsung has published its first three Galaxy S4 commercials on YouTube today, and the company has chosen to focus on TouchWiz features rather than the handset’s hardware. The clip above shows off S Translator, while the two below demonstrate Group Play and Sound Shot.

Samsung has today confirmed that the new Galaxy Note 8.0 will launch in the United States on April 11, priced at $399. The device will be available in-stores and online from a number of retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, Staples, and TigerDirect.com.

Samsung has added yet another smartphone to its Galaxy lineup, this time in the form of the midrange Galaxy Win. The device looks a lot like the Galaxy S III, crossed with a Galaxy S4 or a Galaxy Note, and it packs a 4.7-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera, and a quad-core processor.
