Samsung Announces Galaxy Win With 4.7-Inch Display, Quad-Core CPU

Samsung has added yet another smartphone to its Galaxy lineup, this time in the form of the midrange Galaxy Win. The device looks a lot like the Galaxy S III, crossed with a Galaxy S4 or a Galaxy Note, and it packs a 4.7-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera, and a quad-core processor.

Samsung hasn’t announced the price yet, or given details on availability, but the Galaxy Win’s specifications suggest it will be heading to emerging markets. There’s no 4G connectivity, for instance — it’s HSPA only — and there’s an option to get two SIM card slots.

The Galaxy Win is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, which means you get the same software you’ll currently find on the Galaxy S III. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first device to bring you the Galaxy S4’s new TouchWiz features on a budget, then.
