Apple has today had its request for a permanent injunction on Samsung’s patent-infringing products denied. The Cupertino company was awarded $929 million in damages, but it argued that the monetary sum was insufficient, and that a number of Samsung products should be banned.

Sprint has announced that the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat over-the-air update is currently in preparation for its carrier-branded Samsung Galaxy Mega (5.8 and 6.3), Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S III, and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 variants located in both North and South America.

One of the most interesting announcements from Samsung’s Unpacked 5 event last week was the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and more particularly the Gear Fit smartwatch. Although Samsung detailed the features of these devices in length, the company refrained from giving out pricing details. But a new leak has now revealed that information as well and we’re not very surprised.

Samsung Glass Patent

Samsung has been known to be working on a Google Glass competitor of its own in its research labs. And a new patent filing might have inadvertently given away some of the details of this new device known as “Samsung Glass”. The patent images also reveal that the manufacturer is working on a feature which involves augmented reality, allowing users to see a physical keyboard almost anywhere, including their palm.

Samsung has today confirmed that its new Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 will go on sale in the U.S. on Sunday, March 9, priced at $649.99. The device will be available from Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, and Samsung’s own online store — and it comes bundled with $800 worth of free content, including a $25 Google Play voucher and three months of Hulu Plus.
