Samsung Milk Music

The advantage of Samsung’s kitchen sink approach is that every once a while it manages to come out with a terrific product or service. Samsung’s Milk Music radio service is the perfect example of this and provides users access to over 13 million songs and 200 stations for free without any kind of advertisements, at least for the time being.

Sadly, the Milk Music app is only available to Samsung’s Galaxy devices owners in the United States.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5, its first high-end Android-powered flagship smartphone of 2014, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month, However, the South Korean company omitted to inform us that an exclusive LTE-Advanced AT&T variant would also be landing in the States, along with the 4G model. A recent FCC filing shows that the upcoming S5 variant will support AT&T’s LTE and HSPA data services — bands 2, 4, 15 and 17 — thus confirming the existence of LTE Advanced capabilities on the handset.

Samsung Milk Music

Samsung has just announced the launch of its own radio service called Milk Music. Although the company claims this service will be ad free, the Play Store listing mentions that the ad free version is available only for a limited period. This means the app could be bombarded with advertisements in the coming months.
