Galaxy-S5-TouchWiz

Verizon is currently rolling out a relatively minor over-the-air update to all of its carrier-branded Galaxy S5’s located in the United States. Although this upgrade’s reportedly aimed at ‘updating stock applications on the handset and fixing a selection of known bugs,’ it looks like Big Red may have an ulterior motive for pushing it out, too.

The Team Win Recovery Project custom recovery now provides official support for the first Android Wear smartwatches from Samsung and LG. The release gives Gear Live and G Watch users the ability to flash custom ROMs and other tweaks, make complete ROM backups, and more.

One of the highlights of the LG G3 is that its impressive 13-megapixel camera has the ability to record super sharp 4K video, but it’s somewhat spoiled by LG’s aggressive post-processing. As is often the case, however, third-party developers have devised a tweak that makes 4K video recording even better.

It also boosts 1080p recording from 30 frames-per-second to 60 frames-per-second — but you’ll need root access to install it.

A system dump of Android L, courtesy of the Developer Preview images released by Google, has been uploaded online allowing Android users to get their hands on some new goodies from the upcoming version of Android right away.

This includes the new keyboard, wallpapers, fonts and other updated Google Apps like Play Services, Search and Play Store.

Less than 24 hours after the Android L developer preview images were released by Google, SuperSU developer Chainfire has managed to gain root access on it.

While Chainfire was previously worried that the next version of Android might effectively kill root, his findings have turned out to be wrong since the process pretty much remains the same with only a minor modification required to SuperSU.
