The HTC One S is possibly one of the more impressive midrange smartphones currently available, and it’s only just over a year old. But it may get its nose pushed out when HTC begins issuing its much-anticipated Sense 5 updates to existing smartphones.
Kormiltsev Andrey, head of HTC Russia, has reportedly said that “technical issues” are preventing HTC from porting Sense 5 to the device.
Sony has today announced a new addition to its Xperia smartphone family, this time targeting the entry-level end of the market. The new Sony Xperia Tablet Z is available to pre-order in the United States today, which shipping expected to start on May 24. The 16GB model starts at $499.99, while the 32GB model is priced at $599.99. Those who go for the latter and choose exclusive white instead of black qualify for a free charging cradle worth $44.99.
Google’s second-generation Nexus 7 tablet will launch “around July,” powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors, Reuters reports. The device will reportedly push Google deeper into the “cut-price” hardware market with yet another aggressive pricing strategy, competing with other affordable tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire.
