VSCO Cam, a popular camera app for smartphones, just entered private beta on its way to Android. It’s long been considered one of the best third-party photography apps on iOS, combining a long list of awesome features with some terrific editing tools — so it’s sure to be a hit among Android photographers.

Staff that work behind the scenes for the Google Play Store, regularly highlight a specific topic with a content promotion, and this time the team have chosen photography. This weeks Google Play app focus, enables you to download a free e-book from the Play Books Store, providing users with a great tool to learn the basics of “Android Photography” completely free of charge.

This day was bound to come sooner or later, and finally, it has arrived. You no longer have to pull out your iPhone when you’re at work if you want to check your Instagram feed to see all your friend’s latest pictures. You can do it all on the web.

When you go to your Instagram.com page and sign in you’ll now see all the photos that would appear in your stream like it would if you were using a smartphone.

Christmas is nearly here, and with it comes the snapping of a million never-to-be shared photos. So, instead of promising your friends and family that you’ll e-mail pictures, or trying to teach your mom how to use shared Photo Streams, or dicking around with SD cards and sneakernet, why not just make some good, old-fashioned prints?
