The promotion for the white Nexus 4 (8GB) that came with a free white bumper on Google Play is no longer for sale. You can still pick-up the 16GB white Nexus 4 with a bumper, along with both black versions of the phone — just not the white 8GB model.

Android Beam can be used to share content between NFC equipped Android devices with just a simple tap. At present, Android Beam allows for sharing of YouTube videos, Google Maps locations, sharing of images and videos and more.

The problem with Android Beam is that it uses Bluetooth, and not Wi-Fi Direct to transfer files, which is comparatively much slower. Worse, Android Beam only supports for sharing of pictures and videos, thus limiting the use of the feature. Google has released its stock virtual keyboard layout as a separate download in Google Play. Aptly named “Google Keyboard,” the download brings everything from Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, like dictation and gesture-based typing. The same typing experience you get on a Nexus device is now available for nearly all Android smartphone and tablets.

You can use gestures to type with a dynamic floating preview. There is voice dictation, autocompletion and suggestions, multiple layouts, and support for 26 languages. You can download Google Keyboard now for free in Google Play.

Black-HTC-One-BlinkFeed

During his interview at D11 today, senior vice president of Android Sundar Pinchai confirmed that the HTC One Google Edition running stock Android will launch on June 26, priced at $599. The device will come unlocked, and it’ll be available to purchase through Google Play.
