It was disappointing enough when we learned that Samsung wouldn’t be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy III this year at MWC, but now, we learn they won’t be holding a press conference this year either. Booo Samsung, just booo.

We often wonder about what the “woman behind the curtain” would look like when we use voice action apps such as Siri but for the Android alternative Iris, we now have a pretty good idea. Iris was an app created for Android by developers Dexetra and started as a tongue-in-cheek reply to iPhone’s Siri. It became immensely popular and currently has over 1 million installs. Things seemed to be going good for this Android Siri competitor until Gizmodo recently revealed the “woman behind the curtain.” It turns out ChaCha, the search engine behind the app, is a bigoted, religious zealot that may have some disturbing answers to some of your questions.

Amazon has announced a new licensing deal with Viacom that will allow Amazon Prime members to stream TV shows to over 300 devices, including the Kindle Fire. Members will have access to thousands of episodes from hit shows on MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, TV Land, Spike, VH1, BET, CMT and Logo. This just adds to the slew of content already available to Amazon Prime members, which from what I’m told is an excellent deal.

It looks like Samsung’s 5.3″ Galaxy Note has sparked a large display revolution. LG has teased an interesting device called the Optimus Vu. Not only does it sport a 5″ display, but it features an unconventional 4:3 aspect ratio. Other unofficial specs include:

If you’re a desktop user of Microsoft’s OneNote, you’ll be happy to know they’ve finally gotten around to releasing an Android app. While many Android users have already given up on OneNote in favor of apps such as Evernote and Springpad, there are many of you who have been patiently awaiting this moment. If you happen to be one of the patient ones, you’ll now be able to enjoy your usual note-taking actions such as creating notes and to-do lists with OneNote Mobile for Android.
