The Galaxy Note 10.1 could be about to get a little brother.

Samsung looks to be preparing to take on the iPad mini with the Galaxy Note 8.0, a smaller version of the Galaxy Note 10.1, which is expected to be priced very aggressively. In addition to an 8-inch display, the device will reportedly offer a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, and of course, Samsung’s S Pen stylus.

Specifications for Sony’s upcoming Xperia Tablet Z were leaked on Wednesday, and we were looking forward to seeing the slate’s grand unveiling at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. But according to one Japanese carrier, Sony’s new flagship tablet will be unveiled on the company’s home turf on January 22.

HTC is set to announce a new flagship smartphone at Mobile World Congress next month, and recent rumors have revealed it’s set to be called the HTC M7. We already know a lot about its internal specifications, thank to previous leaks, but we had no idea what the handset would look like — until today.

Now we’re led to believe the device is going to look almost identical to the iPhone 5.

Well, Samsung announced on Monday that it has now sold more than 100 million smartphones from its Galaxy S series, with more than 40 million Galaxy S III units shipped in just seven months.

Could there be a 10″ Samsung Galaxy Note tablet in the works for Mobile World Congress? According to Samsung’s Developer Day guide for MWC, there will be a few exhibitions where developers will get to play with Samsung’s latest tech. Among the devices listed is an unannounced Galaxy Note 10.1. We could simply chalk this up to a typo, but it seems the guys over at The Verge did a little digging and came across a casting call for a Samsung commercial, inviting a “teen student” to audition for the role of a Galaxy Note 10.1 user.
