Did you know your Moto X has a hidden LED notification light that’s disabled by default? Motorola chose to use the handset’s excellent Active Display technology to notify you of new alerts as they come in, but the handset does have an unused LED light as well. Motorola has today begun rolling out its Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Moto G, making it the first third-party handset to get Google’s latest software after Google’s own Nexus 5. The new software brings user interface changes, performance enhancements, and app updates to the £135 smartphone.

Motorola has today begun issuing invitations to a January 14 press event in London. “Join us on the next step of Motorola’s journey,” the invite reads, ”as we welcome a new addition to the European Motorola family of products.”
