It looks like LG has a heavy weight contender looking to jump in the ring this month at Mobile World Congress. The guys over at MoDaCo got their hands on a wealth of information regarding the LG X3, LG’s quad-core monster running what appears to be vanilla Android 4.0. It was disappointing enough when we learned that Samsung wouldn’t be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy III this year at MWC, but now, we learn they won’t be holding a press conference this year either. Booo Samsung, just booo.

If you were hoping to get a look at the Galaxy S II successor this month at MWC, grab yourself a Kleenex because it’s not going to happen. Samsung has confirmed that they will not be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S III at MWC in Barcelona, but will instead be launching it at a separate Samsung event to be scheduled later this year. Some reports are saying we’ll see it before the summer, but at this point, who knows.


It looks as if the ASUS Padfone will indeed debut at Mobile World Congress according to a report from Paul O’Brien of Modaco. It’s been in production for quite some time and continues to undergo changes before its final release. Many of you have been waiting for the phone that fits inside a tablet concept to hit the market and you may be surprised to find it looking a tad different than the last time you saw it.
