LG’s Quad-Core X3 Gets Benchmarked Ahead Of Mobile World Congress

It looks like LG has a heavy weight contender looking to jump in the ring this month at Mobile World Congress. The guys over at MoDaCo got their hands on a wealth of information regarding the LG X3, LG’s quad-core monster running what appears to be vanilla Android 4.0. The device itself is supossed to feature:

  • 4.7″ HD 720×1280 screen
  • Tegra 3 Quad core processor (1.5GHz on single core, 1.4GHz when on 2-4 cores) + SMP Core (core companion) for IDLE task operations which will save battery life
  • 2000mAh battery
  • 16GB internal memory + microSD slot
  • 8MP camera with ultra fast shutter
  • 1.3MP Front Facing camera
  • Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3

You can also see from the above screenshots that the LG X3 absolutely destroyed the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in benchmarks on the new Quadrant. I was disappointed at the lack of quad-core smartphones at this year’s CES but it looks like there will be plenty to see at MWC this month. We can’t wait, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on the latest regarding these quad-core animals.
