NVIDIA has all but confirmed an HTC Nexus 9 tablet packing its 64-bit Tegra K1 processor by mentioning the device in a lawsuit filed against Qualcomm and Samsung. The chip maker expects the tablet to begin shipping during the third quarter of 2014, and some believe it could be announced at HTC’s “Double Exposure” event on October 9.

Dropbox today increased its maximum storage option to 1TB for Dropbox Pro subscribers and introduced a bunch of new features while maintaining its monthly subscription charge at just $9.99. It’s part of the company’s effort to better compete with rival cloud-based storage services like Google Drive.

Yesterday, at an official Gamescom press conference in Cologne, Germany, Microsoft announced and detailed the contents of both its upcoming updates for the Xbox One and SmartGlass companion application.

Microsoft is hoping to appease Chinese workers who are unhappy about its massive layoff plans by offering them a free smartphone. Up to 300 employees can claim a free device every day, but only if they agree to resign.
