Google has consistently teamed up with manufactures to debut new Android software versions in a pure “Google Experience,” void of any manufacturer overlays. We’ve seen this with the smartphone Nexus line, as well as with the Motorola XOOM tablet. When it comes to Google TV however, there were actually two companies that had first crack at it, and as you already know, that didn’t go so well. For Google’s next version of Google TV, they’d like to make a better impression, and rumor has it that they may team up with LG to deliver it.

Boost Mobile just announced the latest Android smartphone to join their $55 pre-paid lineup, the LG Marquee. The Marquee isn’t the “latest and greatest” Android phone, and has been out for quite some time, but it’s a nice mid-range device that’s more than capable of handling most tasks. For $279.99, you can grab the Marquee along with an affordable pre-paid plan from Boost. The Marquee features:

Up until now, no LTE device on Verizon has been able to support global roaming (no, not global warming, global roaming), in part because of a network issues that prevents LTE phones from roaming in non-CDMA markets. We can’t say we didn’t see this one coming, especially after its accidental leak in an online ad. They didn’t release a full on spec list of the Sprint Galaxy Nexus but it does appear to be a smaller 16GB model and will include Google Wallet (something Verizon felt the need to leave out). Along with the Galaxy Nexus tease comes the announcement of another LTE smartphone for Sprint, the LG Viper.

At LG’s press event today, LG announced its new lineup of Smart TVs featuring Google TV. Not much was detailed about the LMG860 and LMG620, but both will feature Google TV integration as well as LG’s own Smart TV setup. Just as I predicted, more native integration of Google TV, and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait until it almost becomes standard to have a TV with GTV, but until then, let’s just enjoy what CES has to offer. Alongside their Smart TV announcement, came the announcement of their newest 4.5″ True HD IPS display smartphone, the LG Spectrum.
