Moto-G

The Moto G’s price tag and specifications have been leaked by a number of retailers ahead of the handset’s official unveiling on November 13.

German retailer Phone House, British supermarket chain Tesco, and Amazon U.K. all published listings for the handset today and quickly pulled them again a short while later — but not before the handset’s specifications and press images were obtained.

Earlier today, we reported that it looked like Moto Maker was about to make its debut on Verizon and other carriers following AT&T’s period of exclusivity, and now it’s all official.

Motorola announced in a blog post this morning that Moto X customization is now available through all major U.S. carriers, including Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile. The company has also dropped the price of the device to just $99.

Sprint has launched a handful of new Android-powered smartphones today, including Google’s brand new Nexus 5, the LG G2, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, and the Samsung Galaxy Mega. All four devices are available online and in Sprint stores.

KitKat 10

Sony has this week confirmed its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade plans for Xperia smartphones and tablets. If you have a recent, high-end Xperia device, then you’ll be eligible for both updates — and you can expect the first to start rolling out “from next month.”

Google-Keyboard-emoji

Google has pushed out a new update to its official Google Keyboard app for Android, introducing a number of new KitKat features — including support for Emoji — and some small design tweaks. It’s available to devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and you’ll find it in Google Play right now.
