Lock screen widgets were first introduced to Android last November with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but in Google’s latest KitKat release, they’re disabled by default. But don’t worry — they haven’t been killed off altogether; you just need to enable them again if you want to use them.

HTC has clarified its Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade plans for the flagship HTC One and Droid DNA. Those with a One in North America will get the update — along with Sense 5.5 — by the end of January; while those with a Droid DNA will receive the software “by the end of Q1” 2014.

Google has finally begun rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat to the Nexus 4, almost three weeks after the update made its public debut alongside the new Nexus 5.

The latest additions to the list come from Verizon and Motorola’s 2012 Droid lineup, which include the Droid RAZR M, RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD.
