Motorola has updated its official software support page with a list of devices that are expected to receive the much-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat update over the course of the next few weeks. The latest additions to the list come from Verizon and Motorola’s 2012 Droid lineup, which include the Droid RAZR M, RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD.

The support page also indicates that AT&T’s Atrix HD and U.S Cellular’s Electrify M will also be amongst the lucky few to be updated to KitKat. The full list of Motorola’s Android 4.4 compatible devices can be seen below:

  • Droid RAZR M
  • RAZR HD
  • RAZR MAXX HD
  • Moto X
  • Moto G
  • AT&T Atrix HD
  • U.S Cellular Electrify M

  • Droid RAZR HD Developer Edition

Android 4.4 brings a completely redesigned multitasking system which optimizes memory usage in every major component, thus meaning that users can run more of their favourite apps and switch between them faster than ever before.

In addition, the latest version of the operating system takes caller ID to a whole new level. When users receive a call from a telephone number that’s not in their contacts, their phone will automatically search Google’s databases to look for matches from businesses with a local listing from Google Maps.

Unfortunately, Motorola didn’t post any guidelines with regards to dates for these updates, but at least we know they’re on the way. Be sure to check back for more information, as we will let you know when the upgrades go live.
