I almost feel guilty complaining about being the last Galaxy Nexus to see Jelly Bean… almost. It’s great that we’re finally getting it, but a little ridiculous considering Verizon was the first U.S. carrier to launch it. If you’ve been patient and remained on stock all this time, you’ll soon be rewarded with Jelly Bean as the SW Version JRO03O support page is now live on Verizon.

As you can see by the numbers above, it’s still a sad state of affairs when it comes to Android devices being updated to the latest platform version. The majority of Android devices out there are still stuck on Gingerbread — a version of Android released almost 2 years ago. We, of course, can’t blame Google for this, but the lack of updates by OEMs and carriers is downright disgusting.

We simply love wallpapers. They’re one of the first changes we make to our Android devices and often represent our moods, interests, or wicked alter egos. They’re as unique as the individuals who use them and while some people pick one and stick with it, others change them more often than a teenager’s Facebook status. Each day we’re going to feature a free wallpaper for you to download and use on your Android device. Depending on your device, you may want to use your favorite photo editing software to resize the image for a better fit. Once that’s done, apply and enjoy. Your homescreen can thank us later. Cheers!

Let me start by saying the details on this offer are very sketchy and all the information has yet to be posted. With that said, let’s see what Motorola is promising this time. Motorola is promising to bring Jelly Bean to all of its smartphones released for sale in 2011 or greater (U.S. sold smartphones only). If they fail to update your device to Jelly Bean, they will give you $100 back when you trade in your old Motorola smartphone and purchase a select new one.

ASUS rolled out Jelly Bean to TF300 users a few days ago but to the dismay of those in the U.K., they weren’t included. Thankfully, ASUS, — being the company that they are — quickly got to work and are now pushing out the Android 4.1 update to our friends across the pond. We can’t praise ASUS enough for the amazing job they’ve done getting updates out to their users and this is just another testament to their commitment.
