Optimus-G-Jelly-Bean

LG has finally begun rolling out its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Optimus G, almost seven months after Google first announced the platform update. The update is currently reaching handsets in South Korea on the SK Telecom network, but those in the United States shouldn’t have to wait too long for it. As you’d expect, this release brings a number of new features that will significantly improve the performance and user experience of your handset.

Huawei-Ascend-P2-leak

Huawei unveiled a number of new smartphones at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week, but it appears the Chinese company may have another device to bring us in the coming months. A press photo, including specifications, has been leaked for the Ascend P2. While it’s not the flagship Ascend D2, it still looks to be a very impressive handset.

Archos-GamePad

Archos launched its GamePad tablet in Europe back in December, and the company took the device to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week to show it off on the other side of the Atlantic. It has now confirmed that the device will make its debut in the United States in February, priced at a very reasonable $169.

Samsung has begun rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to two of its tablet in the United States. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 both began receiving the upgrade over the weekend, following its debut on European devices. As you’d expect, this software comes with a whole host of new features and improvements.

Daydream-Flipboard

The latest Flipboard update introduces support for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean’s new Daydream feature, allowing users to view their news headlines while their device is charging. The Flipboard app becomes your screensaver, updating automatically over Wi-Fi to display the latest news stories.
