Sony-Xperia-Z1f-DoCoMo

Buying a high-end smartphone isn’t easy, because there are so many to choose from, but that decision becomes even more difficult if you want a high-end smartphone in a small package; almost all of them now come with displays at least 5 inches big.

But not anymore, thanks to the Sony Xperia Z1f. It combines high-end specifications with a 4.3-inch display to provide a cutting-edge device that easy to operate with one hand and hardly noticeable in your pocket.

Samsung’s Galaxy J, a 5-inch smartphone with a 1080p display that has been exclusive to Japan, is officially coming to Taiwan. The device will be available in red and white from mid-December, but there’s still no word on whether it will be coming to the U.S. or Europe.

Late last night, Google officially announced the expanding availability of its Google Search service, Google Now to include an additional 3 new languages, Japanese, German and French. Obviously, you’ll need the latest version of the Google Search app installed on your device to use the service, but once that’s done you’ll be able to ask questions in these three newly implemented languages, as well as English and receive spoken results.

Samsung Galaxy S4 users on NTT DoCoMo in Japan will begin to receive their Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update later this month. The update will add a number of new features and TouchWiz improvements, including support for the Galaxy Gear.

Samsung’s working on a new high-end smartphone for Japan called the Galaxy J, and it has just been leaked ahead of its official debut. The device looks a lot like the Galaxy Note II, but it has a smaller 5-inch display. Don’t assume it’s a cheaper version, though — it also has a faster Snapdragon 800 processor, a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a dust- and water-resistant design.
