A purported press image for the Galaxy S IV.

Following the success of the Galaxy S III — and indeed the Galaxy S II before it — the Galaxy S IV is expected to become one of the biggest smartphones of 2013. So it’s no wonder that Android fans are eagerly anticipating its arrival. According to the latest report, the device will get its grand unveiling on March 14 at an event in New York.

GooPhone-One

It won’t be announced until Tuesday, February 19, but the HTC One already has its own Chinese knockoff. Called the GooPhone One, the device you see above has clearly been built upon the leaked renders we’ve been seeing for HTC’s upcoming flagship over the past couple of weeks. It runs Android, but don’t expect to see the Sense user interface here.

LG-Optimus-G-Pro

LG announced its super-sized Optimus G Pro last week, a 5.5-inch handset that’s coming to do battle with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The device will be coming to Korea this week, the company has now confirmed, before making its way to North America during Q2 2013.

In addition to its impressive 1080p display, the Optimus G Pro will also be the first smartphone to offer a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, which is the successor to the popular Snapdragon S4 Pro.

I’ve lost count of the number of times the HTC One has been leaked ahead of its February 19 unveiling. Today another render is making its way around the web, this time showing the device in black. Previous renders have revealed the white and silver model, but this is the first time we’ve seen its sibling.

HTC-One-teaser

We now have less than a week to wait for HTC to unveil its next flagship smartphone, and to ensure you’re suitably excited, the Taiwanese company has started a countdown on its website that will finish on February 19. But it’s not just a simple timer; in the background quick glimpses of the upcoming HTC One are shown every few seconds.
