Back In Black: HTC One Appears Again In Another Color

I’ve lost count of the number of times the HTC One has been leaked ahead of its February 19 unveiling. Today another render is making its way around the web, this time showing the device in black. Previous renders have revealed the white and silver model, but this is the first time we’ve seen its sibling.

Just like the lighter model, the black HTC One looks a lot like the rear end of an iPhone 5. It sports a similar shape and design, with a polished chamfer around its edge. The image was obtained by UnwiredView, but unfortunately it comes with no other information on the device.

It does, however, show the One’s announcement date on the display — as is often the case with press shots — but this time the location is New York. On the white render, the location is London, which suggests this particular shot will be for HTC’s U.S. event.

The One will be HTC’s first flagship smartphone of 2013. In addition to a 4.7-inch 1080p display, it’s expected to offer a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. Other features reported so far include a new “ultrapixel” camera technology, and HTC’s next-generation Sense 5.0 user interface.
