HTC is said to be preparing its Android 4.3 update for the flagship HTC One, and according to a source familiar with its plans, it’ll land in the United States first. But if you were hoping to see some significant Sense 5 improvements, then you’re going to be disappointed, because it will ship with the same version the HTC One is already running.

Metallic Blue HTC One

Yesterday, Best Buy officially announced that it will start carrying the new blue HTC One starting September 15. According to Jeff Gordon, the Senior Global Online Communications Manager at HTC, the “Metallic Blue” One being sold at Best Buy is slightly darker than the “Vivid Blue” that was announced in Europe last week for the HTC One and One Mini.

The HTC One is famous for its incredible front-facing BoomSound speakers, but clearly HTC feels there’s still room for improvement. The Taiwanese company today announced BoomBass, a miniature subwoofer that promises to bring even better sound to your HTC One and One mini.

HTC has gradually rolled out a number of devices with its latest Sense 5 user interface following its debut on the flagship HTC One back in March — and today the Taiwanese company presented fans with a budget-friendly option in the Desire 300, a 4.3-inch device that will make its debut in Europe this October.
