HTC has gradually rolled out a number of devices with its latest Sense 5 user interface following its debut on the flagship HTC One back in March — and today the Taiwanese company presented fans with a budget-friendly option in the Desire 300, a 4.3-inch device that will make its debut in Europe this October.

The Desire 300 features a 4.3-inch “full lamination” WVGA display that’s “perfect for reading your customized HTC BlinkFeed updates, watching videos, viewing photos and surfing the web,” according to HTC. It also packs a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and 512MB of RAM.

When it comes to photography, the Desire 300 isn’t quite capable of running HTC Zoe, it seems — but you should be able to take fairly reasonable snaps with its 5-megapixel rear-facing camera — which has an f/2.8 aperture and a 34mm lens — when you need to.

The Desire 300 has just 1.2GB of built-in storage, but fortunately there is a microSD card slot for all of your music, photos, and movies. The 1,650mAh battery is a removable one, too, so you can buy and extra and swap them around if you regularly find yourself running out of juice.
