Last time anyone heard from Toshiba, Ice Cream Sandwich wasn’t going to hit its 10-inch Toshiba Thrive tablet until sometime in the Fall. Luckily Toshiba realized that summer was a much more appropriate time for Ice Cream Sandwich, and has surprised Thrive users with the tasty Android treat a bit earlier than expected.

Anyone who owns a tablet has, at one time or another, thought about how they could make it their car infotainment system. There have been a million solutions from universal mounts to professional in-dash installations, and while we’ve seen many, this is the first Nexus 7 I’ve seen double as an infotainment system. It’s an absolutely dreamy combination, and one that will have 90% of you thinking about hacking up your dash (you might want to leave it to a professional).

It would appear HTC it prepping to join the phablet market (which coincidentally is becoming quite large) this fall, with a 5-inch smartphone of their own. Not much is known about the device other than a rumored 1794 x 1080 (1920 x 1080 minus 126 vertical lines for Android’s onscreen navigation buttons) hi-res display and possible Snapdragon S4 chipset with Adreno 320 GPU.
