Google HQ Mountain View

Google has announced its financial results for the first fiscal quarter of 2013. The Mountain View company reported $13.97 billion in consolidated revenues and a net income of $3.35 billion, up from $2.89 billion in the first quarter of 2012.

“We had a very strong start to 2013, with $14.0 billion in revenue, up 31% year-on-year,” said Google CEO Larry Page. “We are working hard and investing in our products that aim to improve billions of people’s lives all around the world.”

Motorola-colors

Motorola is expected to announce a new Android flagship called the X Phone sometime this year, and recent rumors suggest that it’ll be worth getting excited about — particularly if you like pretty colors. According to an unnamed source at Motorola, the device will be available “in over 20 different colors.”

Google-Keep-Extension

It’s super quick to add new notes to Google Keep on Android, thanks to its handy widgets. But wouldn’t it be nice if the service was easier to access on your desktop? Well, now it is, thanks to the Google Keep Extension for Google Chrome, which lets you add notes and access your existing ones with just one click.

Many Android users would have been informed of an update for Google Voice earlier today, as soon as I saw the notification I instantly thought Babel had arrived. However, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The update brings “improved the reliability of SMS delivery.” But if Google Voice is an IM client, shouldn’t the SMS delivery have been stable in the first place?
