BlackBerry has dismissed recent rumors that claim it is planning to bring the Google Play store to BlackBerry 10 after screenshots of a BlackBerry Z10 handset running the Google Play app surfaced online this week. The Canadian company says it has “no planned support for Google Play on BlackBerry,” and that BlackBerry World remains its primary focus.

Google have officially published two brand new adverts for its flagship Nexus 7, just three months after the original ad made its debut on Goggle’s official Nexus YouTube channel. Both of these promo videos highlight how the 7-inch slate can be used in our modern-day world.

Quickoffice Text Edit

Last year, Google acquired Quickoffice, the most popular office suite application on the Play Store, and in September it made the service free for everyone on both Android and iOS. Now the development team at Mountain View are pushing out this apps first major update, which brings dramatically improved Google Drive integration, in addition to a truckload of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Google is in the process of rolling out its much-anticipated update for its official Hangouts application which comes pre-loaded on all Android devices. This upgrade brings some interesting new features, including SMS & MMS integration, location sharing and animated GIF support.

Google has pushed out a new update to its official Google Keyboard app for Android, introducing a number of new KitKat features — including support for Emoji — and some small design tweaks. It’s available to devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and you’ll find it in Google Play right now.
