Admit it, you laughed at Samsung and its oversize Galaxy Note when the handset first made its debut at IFA 2011 in Berlin. With its 5.3-inch display, the device was substantially larger than other smartphones at the time, and we all assumed no one would buy one.

But as it turns out, a lot of people like massive smartphones, and the Galaxy Note series has become a huge success. In fact, Samsung just announced that it has now sold more than 10 million Galaxy Note devices in South Korea alone.

We first heard speculation surrounding a cheaper Galaxy Note 3 “Lite” back in December, and it was claimed that the handset would make its debut during the first quarter of this year. Now a leaked specifications sheet has revealed everything there is to know about the device, which will actually be called the Galaxy Note 3 Neo.

We may have laughed at the original Galaxy Note for its massive 5.3-inch display when Samsung first announced it back in 2011, but like the flagship Galaxy S series, it’s been a huge success. Now in its third generation, the device has sold over 10 million units in just two months.
